According to him, a guided Russian “Shahed” drone hit his house.
Serhii “Flash” Beskrestnov, adviser to the Ukrainian Minister of Defense on technological issues, said that on the night of April 20, Russians attempted to kill him using a jet-powered “Shahed” strike drone. Based on photos posted on his Facebook page, the official ended up in a medical facility. “I was hit, but the main thing is I miraculously survived. I was mentally prepared for such a scenario, and it will not stop me,” Beskrestnov wrote.
He stated that overall, Russian forces launched four guided jet-powered “Shaheds” at him. According to “Flash,” one drone crashed into the wall of his house. The adviser to the defense minister added that he no longer has a home.
Earlier, it was reported that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) foiled an attempt to assassinate a senior officer of the Ukrainian Navy. A Russian accomplice was detained in the act while waiting near the officer’s home in Odesa.
There were also reports of a thwarted assassination attempt on the commander of the Third Army Corps, General Andrii Biletskyi. Law enforcement officials stated that a Russian agent was preparing a targeted missile and bomb strike.
