Police have provided details.
At around noon on Monday, April 20, an explosion occurred on the territory of an enterprise near the city of Rivne. The Rivne regional police stated that the company’s activities are not related to chemical production.
According to preliminary information from law enforcement, eight people were injured with varying degrees of severity. One of the victims is in critical condition. A fire broke out at the site, but emergency responders have already managed to contain it. Rescue services and senior officials from law enforcement agencies are working at the scene. Investigators are currently establishing the circumstances of the explosion and determining its legal classification.
In February, in the Dubno district of Rivne region, a pensioner killed five people on the territory of a former school where internally displaced persons were living. In March, he died in a pre-trial detention center.
