The accident occurred in the Lviv region.
In the Lviv region, a cargo vehicle at a controlled railway crossing failed to notice the sound and light signals and crashed into the locomotive of train No. 64 Przemyśl–Kyiv–Kharkiv, Ukrzaliznytsia reported.
The company noted that, fortunately, no one was injured, and the accident did not affect the passenger carriages. However, the truck driver fled the scene.
The National Police of Lviv Region уточнила that the accident occurred at around 14:20 on April 21 in the village of Mshana, Lviv district. The high-speed train collided with a MAN truck driven by a 48-year-old man.
“There were no casualties as a result of the accident. An investigative task force, patrol police officers, and other specialized services are working at the scene,” they said.
It is worth recalling that on April 18 in the Vinnytsia region, a private quarry locomotive collided with an Intercity+ train on the Kyiv–Przemyśl route. No one was injured, but passengers had to be transferred to a backup high-speed train dispatched from Kyiv to continue their journey.
