Ukraine has completed the development and testing of its first domestically produced guided aerial bomb, which is now ready for combat use, according to Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

Fedorov said in a Telegram post that the weapon was developed by one of the participants in the Brave1 defense technology cluster over a period of 17 months.

He described the system as a uniquely designed Ukrainian guided bomb, created specifically for the conditions of modern warfare rather than being a copy of Soviet or Western models. According to him, it is designed to strike fortified positions, command posts, and other targets at ranges of several dozen kilometers after release.

The bomb carries a 250-kilogram warhead. The Ministry of Defense has already purchased a test batch, and Ukrainian pilots are currently conducting operational trials and adapting its use to battlefield conditions.

Fedorov emphasized that Ukraine is gradually transitioning from importing individual defense technologies to developing its own advanced weapons systems, aimed at strengthening its armed forces and improving battlefield effectiveness.

He added that Ukrainian guided aerial bombs are expected to be deployed against Russian targets in the near future, as production is scaled up.
