Around 170 rescuers and 51 pieces of equipment have been deployed to clear debris and search for survivors who may still be trapped under the rubble.
The city declared May 15 a day of mourning. Kyiv authorities also recommended lowering flags on all public and private buildings in honor of the victims.
Ukraine has also called for an emergency UN Security Council meeting in response to the масштабовані strikes on civilians, while President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed defense and security agencies to prepare response measures to Russia’s large-scale attack.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched 731 aerial weapons overnight, including 56 missiles and 675 drones. Air defense systems reportedly intercepted or suppressed the majority of them.
