During a morning ballistic missile strike on Pryluky in Chernihiv region, the “Epicentr” shopping center sustained significant damage, with its rear wall almost completely destroyed, according to the company’s press service.
“Today, as a result of the enemy missile attack, the ‘Epicentr’ shopping center in Pryluky was damaged. Two of our employees were injured. There is no threat to their lives. The blast wave almost completely destroyed the rear wall of the building,” the company said.
A fire broke out at the site after the strike but was quickly extinguished by emergency services. Police investigators, forensic experts, community officers, and other emergency units are working at the scene.
Earlier reports confirmed that Russian forces struck the central part of Pryluky with a ballistic missile. Initial information indicated two people were killed and 17 injured, including a child. Later updates raised the number of injured to at least 21, according to local officials.
The strike reportedly hit an industrial target near the “Epicentr” facility, and additional damage was recorded to a supermarket, emergency vehicles, residential property, and civilian cars.
In a separate incident in April 2026, Russian forces also attacked a police station in Pryluky with drones, causing a fire and injuring one person.
