Russia launched another large-scale attack on Ukraine overnight on 4 December, firing two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and deploying 138 drones. Ukrainian air defenses managed to shoot down most of the UAVs, the Air Force reported on Telegram.
According to the military, between 18:00 on 3 December and the morning of 4 December, Russia fired two Iskander-M missiles from Russia’s Rostov region and occupied Crimea, and launched 138 attack drones, including Shahed, “Herbera,” and several other types. Around 85 of them were Shahed-type UAVs.
The air assault was repelled by Ukrainian fighter aircraft, air-defense missile units, electronic-warfare teams, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups. As of 09:00, preliminary data indicated that Ukraine’s air defenses had shot down or suppressed 114 enemy drones across the north, south and east of the country.
Impacts from ballistic missiles and 24 drones were recorded at fourteen locations.
