Canada will provide Ukraine with a new $900 million military aid package that includes military equipment, ammunition, and air defense assets, Prime Minister Mark Carney announced during a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara, according to Novyny.LIVE.

Carney said Canada would also continue supporting Ukraine’s preparations for the upcoming heating season, assist with the country’s reconstruction, and help advance its integration into the European and global economy.

Zelenskyy thanked Canada for the assistance, noting that part of the package aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s air defenses is already on its way. He also said the two countries are discussing joint projects involving Naftogaz of Ukraine.

Earlier this month, Canadian Defence Minister David McGuinty said the armed forces of Canada and Belgium had delivered another shipment of military equipment to Ukraine, describing such deliveries as a regular part of allied support.
