On the evening of April 26, a young man fired shots at the “Istorychnyi Muzei” metro station in Kharkiv.
According to the regional prosecutor’s office, a 20-year-old man, while under the influence of alcohol, fired a shot into the air using a starter pistol. No injuries or damage were reported as a result of the incident.
“Materials are currently being collected, and all circumstances of the event are being established,” the prosecutor’s office said.
The case is preliminarily classified under Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism). Procedural supervision will be carried out by the Slobidskyi District Prosecutor’s Office of Kharkiv.
Context
Following the April 18 attack in Kyiv, in which eight people were killed, Ukraine has seen a wave of firearm-related incidents.
