Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit the United States in the coming days, where he is expected to meet President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday, July 28.
According to ABC News, citing a Ukrainian official, Zelensky will also attend the memorial service for late U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham in Washington.
Zelensky and the South Carolina Republican maintained a close relationship, with Graham making his final visit to Ukraine just days before his death.
Graham, one of Ukraine's strongest supporters in the U.S. Congress, died on July 11 after a brief illness. He co-authored a bipartisan bill imposing tougher sanctions on Russia.
Following his death, U.S. lawmakers introduced an updated version of the legislation that would mandate sanctions and tariffs targeting major buyers of Russian energy exports and countries helping Moscow circumvent existing restrictions.
According to media reports, the Senate could vote on the bill as early as next week, with July 28 considered a possible date.
