The Ukrainian negotiation team has been invited to visit the United States after U.S. presidential special envoy Steve Vitkoff met with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said.

Following a meeting of NATO foreign ministers, Sybiga said that the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, had already spoken with Vitkoff after his meeting with Putin. For security reasons, details of the Moscow meeting were not discussed.

Meanwhile, Umerov continues consultations on peace negotiations with officials from France, the United Kingdom, and Germany, coordinating positions and assessing progress. "According to the U.S. delegation, talks in Moscow had a positive impact on the peace process. They have invited the Ukrainian delegation to continue discussions in the United States in the near future," the foreign minister said.

Vitkoff-Putin Meeting
On December 2, U.S. presidential special envoy Steve Vitkoff and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner met in Moscow with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov stated that no compromises were reached during the meeting but added that Washington and Moscow see "huge prospects" for engagement.

There were earlier reports suggesting that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky might meet with the U.S. delegation after their departure from Moscow. However, it was later confirmed that such a meeting has been canceled.
