The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the current electricity tariff for household consumers until 31 October 2026. This means Ukrainians will continue to pay 4.32 UAH per kWh.
According to statements attributed to Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, electricity prices for the population will remain unchanged. She emphasized continued support for households that rely on electricity for heating, including homes and apartments with electric heating, as well as multi-apartment buildings not connected to gas or centralized heating systems.
For such households, a preferential tariff of 2.64 UAH per kWh will apply from 1 October to 30 April for consumption up to 2,000 kWh per month. If consumption exceeds that limit, the standard rate of 4.32 UAH per kWh will be applied.
The report also notes that inspections by Ukraine’s State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection revealed widespread violations in utility tariffs in nearly 98% of cases, leading to refunds for consumers and penalties for providers. Additionally, Ukraine plans to accumulate at least 14.6 billion cubic meters of gas in storage to ensure stable energy supply during winter, with a minimum critical level estimated at 13.2 billion cubic meters to maintain system resilience under stress conditions.
