Scheduled electricity restrictions will remain in effect across Ukraine on Tuesday, November 3, Ukrenergo, the national grid operator, has announced.
The company said restrictions would apply throughout the day:
00:00–23:59: Power consumption limits for industrial consumers.
00:00–23:59: Hourly power cuts for all consumer categories, affecting between 0.5 and 4 outage groups.
Ukrenergo said the restrictions were necessary because of the damage caused by massive Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.
“The situation in the power system may change as a result of Russian strikes. Follow announcements and outage schedules on the official pages of your regional distribution system operators,” the company said.
Ukrainians were also urged to use electricity sparingly whenever power is available according to the schedules.
On November 2, Ukraine was also operating under hourly power outage schedules. Meanwhile, parts of Kyiv’s metro system were temporarily suspended on Monday because of significant voltage fluctuations.
