Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk continued her strong clay-court run by advancing to the Round of 16 at the Mutua Madrid Open.

In the third round, the world No. 23 confidently defeated world No. 5 Jessica Pegula in straight sets, 6–1, 6–4, in 1 hour and 14 minutes.
