Ukraine’s Yaroslava Mahuchikh won silver in the high jump at the 2026 Diamond League Final in Brussels on September 5, matching her result from last year.

Mahuchikh cleared 1.99 meters on her second attempt but failed three times at 2.01m. Australia’s Eleanor Patterson cleared 2.01m to win the event, while her compatriot Nicola Olyslagers took bronze with 1.95m.

The result means Mahuchikh has finished runner-up in the Diamond League final for the second consecutive season. She had previously won the season-ending title three straight times, in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Another Ukrainian, Iryna Herashchenko, cleared 1.88m to finish fifth.

Mahuchikh remains the world-record holder in the high jump with a clearance of 2.10m, set in 2024.

Ukraine also secured a medal in the men’s high jump. Oleh Doroshchuk cleared 2.25m in the final on September 4 and shared bronze after failing at 2.28m. It was his third consecutive medal in the Diamond League Final; he had previously won silver twice.
