Ukrainian heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk successfully defended his world titles after defeating Dutch kickboxing star Rico Verhoeven by technical knockout in the 11th round during their fight in Giza, Egypt, on the night of May 24.

DAZN Boxing later released highlights of the bout on its YouTube channel.

The fight proved to be a serious challenge for Usyk, who entered the ring as the clear favorite but struggled for long stretches to break through Verhoeven’s defense while also absorbing a number of punches.

In the 11th round, however, the Ukrainian boxer finally turned the fight around by knocking his opponent down. After the bout resumed, Usyk unleashed another attack that forced the referee to stop the contest and award him a technical knockout victory.

The 39-year-old champion secured the 25th win of his professional career, including his 16th by knockout, while remaining undefeated in professional boxing.

Usyk retained his WBC, WBA, and IBF heavyweight titles, along with the IBO and The Ring belts.
