Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said officials at Ukroboronprom responsible for storing weapons at the military facility in Vyshneve must be held accountable following explosions caused by a Russian missile strike.

According to Zelensky, investigators have identified those within the state-owned defense conglomerate who approved the storage of weapons at the unprotected site.

"It is known who, and in what positions at Ukroboronprom, allowed weapons to be stored there. Every one of them must be brought to fair accountability," Zelensky said.

The president also instructed the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and other law enforcement agencies to conduct inspections of similar defense facilities across the country to prevent similar incidents.

"The SBU, together with other law enforcement agencies, must inspect other similar enterprises, and every manager must ensure at their level that such tragedies are never repeated," Zelensky said.
