Russian forces carried out another overnight airstrike on Sumy with guided aerial bombs on July 17, hitting civilian infrastructure in several parts of the city, according to Sumy Regional Military Administration head Oleh Hryhorov.

Hryhorov said at least five guided bombs (KABs) struck the city, with the latest attack coming less than six hours after the previous one.

According to preliminary information, civilian infrastructure was hit in multiple districts, including two strikes in the city center.

One of the impacts damaged a non-residential multi-story building, while hundreds of windows were shattered in surrounding buildings.

Emergency services are working at the scene as authorities continue to assess the affected areas. Information on casualties and the full extent of the damage is still being clarified.

Russia also struck Sumy with guided bombs on the morning and evening of July 16. The earlier attack injured more than 20 people. On July 11, a separate Russian guided bomb attack killed five people and wounded more than 30.
