A Russian drone struck a passenger train in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region on July 19, injuring a train conductor, according to Ukraine's state railway operator, Ukrzaliznytsia.

The railway company said its monitoring team had ordered an evacuation before the strike, preventing any fatalities. One conductor sustained minor injuries, according to preliminary information.

Passengers will be transported to Zaporizhzhia by bus, while rail operations in the region remain under heightened monitoring. Ukrzaliznytsia warned that some journeys to and from Zaporizhzhia may require transfers using buses or suburban trains and advised passengers to check personalized notifications in the railway's mobile app.

The latest attack comes a day after Russian drones targeted a locomotive and another passenger train in the Zaporizhzhia region. All passengers and railway staff were evacuated safely before that strike.
