Iran has criticized a 15-point peace proposal from the United States, describing it as “excessive,” and outlined its own conditions for ending the war, according to Sky News.

An Iranian source said Tehran had reviewed the proposal put forward by Donald Trump but does not consider it acceptable in its current form.

“Iran will end the war at a time of its choosing, and only if its conditions are met,” the source said, adding that Tehran “will not allow President Trump to dictate the timeline for ending the war.”

According to the official, Iran has already informed Washington via intermediaries that it will continue to defend itself.

Tehran’s key conditions for ending the conflict include a complete halt to attacks on Iran and guaranteed compensation for damages caused during the hostilities.

What is known about the US 15-point plan

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt ранее confirmed that Washington had submitted a 15-point peace plan aimed at ending the fighting in the Middle East.

Among its central provisions is placing around 440 kilograms of highly enriched uranium held by Iran under international control.

The plan also addresses the situation around the Strait of Hormuz, which has effectively been disrupted since the start of the US and Israeli military operation.

The exchange underscores the deep divide between Washington and Tehran, as both sides continue military actions while exploring indirect diplomatic channels.
