Czech President Petr Pavel said Ukraine may need to make “painful concessions” to end the war and noted that Kyiv is prepared to take such steps if they lead to peace.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Pavel said Ukraine has done significant work toward reaching an acceptable solution. He stressed that the United States will play a key role in countering Russian aggression, while Europe must remain actively engaged rather than standing aside.

Ukraine continues consultations with European and U.S. partners on a peace plan. Zelensky recently said the plan is about 90% ready, with security guarantees finalized, though the issue of territories remains unresolved.
