Russia is preparing another large-scale attack on Ukraine, with energy infrastructure and logistics expected to be the main targets, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his evening video address.
“We know from intelligence that Russia is preparing a new massive strike against our country. Primarily targeting energy infrastructure and logistics,” Zelenskyy said.
He noted that Moscow may be counting on the world's attention being focused on the US elections on November 3.
“And events in Ukraine, our difficulties with missiles for air defense, will be outside the world's attention,” he said.
Zelenskyy said Russia must receive clear signals that terrorizing Ukraine brings it no benefit.
He added that Russian oil facilities would continue to burn, describing Ukraine's strikes as justified responses to Russian attacks.
“Russia must be pressured so strongly that it has no alternative but to end this war. The United States and the world can make this happen. Russian killings must stop,” Zelenskyy said.
