On Monday, March 23, scheduled power outages will be in effect across all regions of Ukraine, along with electricity consumption limits for industrial users.
According to a statement by Ukrenergo on Telegram, hourly outages for household consumers will be applied from 17:00 to 22:00. During the same period, power restrictions will also be imposed on industrial consumers.
The continued limitations are due to the последствия of large-scale combined Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
“The situation in the energy system may change. Check the timing and scope of outages for your address on the official pages of your regional power distribution companies,” the statement said.
Ukrenergo also urged citizens to use electricity sparingly when it becomes available under the schedule.
Energy system situation
Since the fall of 2025, Russia has resumed regular strikes on Ukraine’s energy sector, with more intense attacks during the winter amid unusually cold temperatures. As a result, some cities were left without electricity, water, and heating for up to a day or longer.
More recently, outages have again become more frequent due to damage to key electricity transmission infrastructure.
For example, on the morning of March 21, the city of Chernihiv and much of the surrounding region were left without power after a strike on energy facilities.
According to earlier forecasts cited by RBC-Ukraine, stabilization of the energy system is possible as early as April, when warmer weather and the end of the heating season are expected to reduce pressure on the grid.
