Starting February 16, 2026, the Solotvyno – Sighetu Marmației checkpoint in Zakarpattia will have temporary vehicle restrictions due to the critical condition of the bridge over the Tisa River. Here’s a summary:

Vehicle restrictions:

When: Monday to Friday

Time: 09:00–16:00 daily

Duration: Approx. 47 days for reconstruction

Impact: No processing of cars or trucks during these hours. Drivers are advised to arrive before 09:00 or after 16:00.

Exceptions:

Pedestrians: No restrictions; the bridge remains open 24/7.

Weekends: Checkpoint operates normally without daily pauses.

Alternative routes:

Dyakove – Halmeu (Zakarpattia) – for cars and trucks

Porubne – Siret (Chernivtsi) – main crossing for vehicles
