Mykhailo Mudryk has filed an appeal against the decision of the Football Association, which handed him a four-year ban following a doping case. The news was reported by talkSPORT, noting that this is the maximum possible sanction. According to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the appeal was submitted in late February, and both parties have already exchanged written statements, although a hearing date has not yet been set, as also reported by The Athletic.
Last summer, the FA confirmed that the player had been charged with violating anti-doping rules after meldonium was found in a sample taken while he was on international duty with Ukraine. He has not played since December 2024. Mudryk joined Chelsea in January 2023 from Shakhtar Donetsk for €70 million excluding bonuses, and has since made 73 appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing 11 assists across all competitions. It was also previously reported that he was penalized for driving without a license in London.
