On Monday, January 19, the Russian military struck Kharkiv’s private residential sector with guided aerial bombs, killing a woman and injuring several others, according to Oleg Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration (OVA).
Synegubov reported that the attack targeted the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv, destroying one private house. Initially, eight people were reported injured, but by 16:38 the number had risen to ten.
“Ten people sustained injuries of varying severity; two were hospitalized. Medical personnel provided all necessary assistance. Sadly, a 69-year-old woman was killed. Thirty private houses were damaged, and one house was completely destroyed,” Synegubov wrote.
Emergency services continue to work at the site, addressing the aftermath and documenting the latest crime committed by the occupiers.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov added that the private sector of the city experienced a total of three KAB strikes.
