Russian forces struck Kyiv overnight, damaging the Roshen confectionery factory, one of the city’s major industrial facilities, local authorities report.
According to initial information, the factory sustained structural damage as a result of the attack on January 24, which also hit critical infrastructure across the capital. The extent of damage to production lines and equipment is still being assessed.
No official data has yet been released regarding casualties at the site. Emergency services and law enforcement units are currently working at the scene to secure the area and evaluate the impact on the facility’s operations.
The strike occurred amid a massive Russian assault involving hundreds of drones and missiles targeting multiple regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv.
