In Kyiv, overnight shelling knocked out power to water supply infrastructure facilities. Kyivvodokanal has reported which districts of the capital have no water at all.
“Currently, water supply is completely absent in almost the entire left-bank part of the city (Desnianskyi, Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts). Water pressure is reduced in the Troieshchyna residential area,” the statement said. Water pressure is also reduced in right-bank districts, including Shevchenkivskyi, Solomianskyi and Holosiivskyi. In the Pecherskyi district, water supply is available only in certain areas.
“Kyivvodokanal specialists, together with energy workers, are working to stabilize the situation, restore power supply and return the water system to normal operation,” the utility said.
A series of explosions was heard overnight in Kyiv as Russian forces attacked the capital with ballistic missiles. The city’s left bank experienced disruptions to electricity and water supply. At least one person was reported injured. A non-residential building was damaged in the Dniprovskyi district, and several cars caught fire in the city.
As a result of the attack, thousands of buildings were once again left without heating. In most of them, heat supply had only recently been restored following the January 9 strike.
