Unknown drones hit Penza, oil depot catches fire

A fire erupted at an oil depot in Russia’s Penza region after an attack by unidentified drones, Russian media and the regional governor said.

Governor Oleg Melnychenko wrote on social media that a drone strike at around 4 a.m. on January 23 caused a fire at an oil storage facility in the city of Penza. Unidentified drones had earlier been spotted over the region overnight.

The fire was brought under control by 46 firefighters using 14 pieces of equipment.
