On the night of March 25, Russia launched a massive हमला on Ukraine using 147 strike drones from six directions. Most of the enemy UAVs were successfully intercepted by Ukrainian air defenses.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the attack began at 19:00 on March 24. Russian forces deployed Shahed-type drones, as well as “Gerbera,” “Italmas,” and other UAVs from the directions of Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.
More than 80 of the drones were Shahed-type. The air assault was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, drone units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
As of 08:30, preliminary data indicates that 121 enemy drones were shot down or suppressed across the north, south, and east of the country.
At the same time, 24 strike drones hit targets at 18 locations, while debris from downed UAVs was recorded at three additional sites.
The Air Force warned that the attack was ongoing, with several hostile drones still detected in Ukrainian airspace, urging citizens to follow safety measures.
The strikes once again targeted critical infrastructure. In the Chernihiv region, an energy facility was hit, leaving around 150,000 consumers without electricity. In the south of the Odesa region, a residential building was damaged, with at least one person injured and another possibly trapped under the rubble.
Overall, Russian forces have intensified drone attacks in recent days. Between March 23 and 24 alone, nearly 1,000 strike drones were launched at Ukraine, along with missile strikes targeting multiple regions.
