Russian forces carried out drone strikes on central areas of several Ukrainian cities on Tuesday, March 24, targeting regions in the west and center of the country.
In Zhytomyr, a “Shahed” drone strike hit the city center, damaging a two-story residential building and shattering windows in nearby structures. According to Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration head Vitalii Bunechko, a 12-year-old girl was injured and taken to a medical facility.
A fire broke out at the site of the attack, which emergency services were able to bring under control.
Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration head Nataliia Zabolotna stated that a mass attack on the city left one man dead and 11 residents injured.
Other western Ukrainian cities were also hit. In Lviv, 13 people were injured, with two residential high-rises and the Bernardine Monastery complex reported damaged. In Ivano-Frankivsk, drone strikes in the city center killed two people and injured four others, including a six-year-old girl.
