Main target of the night strike – Kyiv region.
On the night of March 14, Russian forces attacked critical infrastructure in Ukraine, including Kyiv and its surrounding areas, using 498 strike UAVs and missiles launched from land and sea. The Air Forces reported how many of these targets were intercepted by Ukraine’s air defenses.
In total, the following were recorded in Ukrainian airspace:
- 2 anti-ship Zircon missiles
- 13 ballistic missiles (Iskander-M / S-400)
- 25 Kalibr cruise missiles
- 24 Kh-101 cruise missiles
- 4 guided aviation missiles (Kh-59 / Kh-69)
- 430 strike drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, Itilmas, and other types, with around 250 being Shaheds
As of 09:00, Ukraine’s air defense had destroyed 460 targets:
- 1 anti-ship Zircon missile
- 7 ballistic missiles (Iskander-M / S-400)
- 25 Kalibr cruise missiles
- 24 Kh-101 cruise missiles
- 1 guided aviation missile (Kh-59 / Kh-69)
- 402 enemy UAVs of various types
The main direction of the attack that night was Kyiv region. Six missiles and 28 drones hit 11 locations, and debris from 7 drones fell. Data on four additional missiles is being clarified.
“The air assault was repelled by aviation, surface-to-air missile units, electronic warfare and drone units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces… The attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs still in the air. Follow safety rules!” – the Air Forces added.
In Kyiv region, the attack killed 4 people and injured 15. Damage and fires were reported in Brovary, Obukhiv, Vyshhorod, and Bucha districts.
