Russia launched a massive overnight attack on Ukraine on September 13, using 453 aerial weapons, the Ukrainian Air Force reported.

The attack involved Shahed strike drones, including jet-powered variants, as well as Gerbera drones, Parodiya decoys and S8000 Banderol UAVs.

The Russian targets were launched from areas near Shatalovo, Oryol, Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as occupied Crimea and the Sea of Azov.

Ukrainian Defense Forces used fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups to repel the attack.

As of 8 a.m., Ukrainian air defenses had shot down or suppressed 405 drones of various types and four S8000 Banderol UAVs.

Russian aerial weapons struck 13 locations, while debris from intercepted targets fell at another seven sites.

The attack was still ongoing, with additional Russian drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace. The Ukrainian Air Force urged residents to follow safety measures and not ignore air-raid alerts.
