Five people were killed and at least seven injured when a Russian drone struck a scheduled passenger bus in Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk region on the morning of September 16, Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration head Oleksandr Hanzha said.
The drone hit the bus directly, killing five people at the scene. Seven injured passengers are receiving medical treatment.
Overnight, Russian forces also shelled Nikopol and the Marhanets community in the region. No casualties were reported, but an apartment building was damaged.
Passenger train also targeted
A Russian drone also attacked the Kyiv–Mykolaiv passenger train on the morning of September 16.
No casualties were reported because the passengers, train crew and locomotive staff were evacuated in time.
Bus transportation is being arranged to take the train passengers to their final destination.
