Russian forces are concentrating equipment, motorized units, and logistics resources as part of preparations for a potential offensive on Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region ahead of the May holidays.
This was stated by Dmytro Zaporozhets, spokesperson for the 11th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during a broadcast on the “We Are Ukraine” TV channel.
“There is information that the enemy has set the goal of capturing Kostiantynivka by the May holidays. They will definitely increase the pace,” Zaporozhets said.
He added that preparations involve not only personnel, but also tanks and motorized equipment.
Earlier reports indicated that Russian forces are reinforcing their grouping in the south. In particular, strengthened units are expected to carry out assault operations in April within the operational zone of the 29th Army, specifically in the Huliaipole and Oleksandrivka directions.
Zaporozhets did not rule out that offensive actions could be conducted simultaneously in two directions — Kramatorsk and Kostiantynivka.
