A Russian strike drone crashed into a high-rise residential building in Kyiv’s Dniprovskyi district on Wednesday afternoon, September 9, causing a fire and injuring at least nine people, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko said.
Emergency services were dispatched to the site of the strike.
Earlier, falling drone debris caused fires in Darnytskyi district, including a grass fire and a blaze on an open area. The Kyiv City Military Administration later clarified that one of the fires broke out in a warehouse facility.
Earlier in the morning, another Russian drone struck a 24-story residential building in Darnytskyi district at the level of the 11th–12th floors. A fire broke out but was quickly extinguished. Five people were injured, and parts of the building’s walls were damaged.
