Russian forces attacked a Coca-Cola plant in Kyiv region with drones on September 3, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

According to Zelenskyy, Russia is using its weapons to terrorize civilians, disrupt everyday life and damage Ukraine’s economy.

“Today, the Russians struck the Coca-Cola plant with a drone. Apparently, Coca-Cola has also become an enemy for them, since they are burning it with Shaheds. A clear Russian signal to America,” Zelenskyy said.

He added that Russia could not have been unaware that the target was an American-owned company.

Strike on Coca-Cola plant

Russian forces have been carrying out drone attacks on Kyiv and Kyiv region throughout September 3, including with jet-powered UAVs.

The Coca-Cola plant in Velyka Dymerka, Kyiv region, was reported to have been among the targets. The facility is one of the largest soft-drink production plants in Europe.

Videos circulated by local media showed a fire breaking out at the plant following the attack.

Russia also carried out several strikes on Kyiv during the day. In the evening, a Russian drone struck a nine-story residential building in Holosiivskyi district, killing one person.
