Russian forces attacked Kyiv with drones on the morning of September 15, striking a gas station in Darnytskyi district and warehouses in Obolonskyi district, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko said.

One person injured at the gas station was hospitalized in serious condition.

How to stay safe during attacks

During a missile or drone attack, residents should move to a designated shelter whenever possible. The safest options include bomb shelters, metro stations and windowless areas of buildings.

If no shelter is available, authorities recommend following the two-wall rule: there should be at least two walls between a person and the outside on all sides. People can sit in a corner below window level, with a solid wall in front of them.

Kitchens and bathrooms are not recommended because they often contain glass, sharp objects and other fragile items.

In apartment buildings, people may shelter on stairwells between floors. Residents of high-rise buildings are advised to move at least two floors below the roof.
