Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones overnight on September 7, striking a shopping center and causing a fire, Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration head Ivan Fedorov said.
A yellow threat level was declared in Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding region shortly after midnight because of the risk of drone attacks.
Fedorov later reported that a Russian UAV hit a shopping center, which caught fire. No casualties were reported.
The attack followed several recent Russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia. On September 5, drone attacks damaged residential buildings and an administrative facility and caused casualties.
On the night of September 4, another Russian drone strike caused a fire in a high-rise residential building in the city.
