Russia has begun reducing missile production while significantly increasing the manufacturing of drones. According to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia plans to produce seven million FPV drones this year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, as reported by Ukrinform.

“They realized that it works better. A missile can be shot down by air defense, but with drones the situation is different: you launch 500 — 470–480 are shot down, but the rest still reach their targets,” Zelenskyy explained during a conversation with journalists.

He added that Ukraine also plans to produce a similar number of FPV drones.

The president stressed that Russian forces are increasing the production of strike UAVs and fiber-optic drones.

According to The Telegraph, the use of drones allows Ukraine to “strangle” Russian troops on the front line and expand the strike zone threefold in some sectors of the battlefield.
