Negotiations will continue.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that a meeting between the Ukrainian and American teams took place in the United States, and a report from the delegation is still expected. The negotiations will also continue on Sunday, March 22.
“The teams will continue communicating tomorrow. The most important thing is to understand how ready the Russian side is to move toward a real end to the war and whether they are prepared to do so honestly and with dignity,” the president said.
He added that diplomacy is ongoing, and the American side in the talks included Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
“It is important for all of us in the world that diplomacy continues and that we are trying to end this war — Russia’s war against Ukraine. War is not needed by anyone,” Zelenskyy concluded.
Earlier, Zelenskyy also stated that Russia has strengthened its negotiating position.
